ELISE PEZZIN
Originally from Morbihan, Elise develops a painting where spontaneity and mastery are articulated. Inspired by abstract expressionism, she explores what color can retain, transform or transmit from a lived experience.
Her compositions, constructed with precision, unfold in clean flat areas which evoke fragments of memory to be organized rather than erased. Painting thus amounts to giving form and justice to what remains in oneself. Her research, centered on memory and transmission, manifests itself in dense, silent surfaces, where the border becomes a gesture of care: a space of relationship and continuity between experience, color and light. Of Italian origin, Elise imagines for L'Apartamento a work entitled "nuovo giorno" inspired by the colors of Italy, the light of Rome and renewal. Travel is a necessary source of inspiration, which nourishes our creativity and our work.
MATHILDE MEJANES
The drawings of Mathilde Méjanès evoke a tender return to childhood, where carefreeness and the joy of suspended days inspire her universe. Through a spontaneous and intuitive technique, she recreates the magic of the first creative gestures, with an amazed look at the world. A true epicurean and lover of Rome, Mathilde imagines for L'Apartamento a flowery still life in sunny colors. A touch of naivety that takes us back to childhood, and reminds us that art is above all made for fun!
THIBAULT PERRIGNE
Created specifically for L'Apartamento, this work by French artist Thibault Perrigne is a fascinating study of texture, form, and the presence of material. Hand-sculpted in plaster and mounted on a wooden panel, the piece captures the female figure of Spring as depicted in Sandro Botticelli’s famous painting, "The Birth of Venus". An intuitive dialogue with plaster—a material that hardens quickly and records every nuance of touch—Thibault’s work balances raw energy with serene restraint, inviting close observation and contemplation.
